Am I eligible for government rebates?
Generally yes. Small Technology Certificates (STCs) are available to all residential properties and businesses except those that received assistance under the previous Solar Homes and Communities Plan.
Do I require planning or building approval?
Generally no, unless you live in a state herigate area (such as Colonel Light Gardens) or a heritage listed property. If you live in a strata titled property, you may require approval from your strata body.
How long will my system last?
Jinko, Train and AIKO panels come with a performance guarantee of 25 or 30 years. Goodwe, Sungrow and Fronius inverters are covered by warranty for 5+5 years or 10. You can generally expect the system to run well past the warrented period with correct installation.
Is any maintenance required?
Your panels will need occasional cleaning to remove dirt and other debris which accumulate over time. Generally, no other maintenance will be required for the life of the system.
